Marina Facilties

To enjoy your “secret paradise” in comfort and style, Marina Puesta del Sol provides a wide range of service and support facilities. We are constantly striving to improve and enhance our marina and service through a commitment to excellence. Our friendly and attentive staff is here to help you with anything...from handling your dock lines to easy, on-site customs, immigration and port authority clearance.

You’ll know you’re on course when you see the distinctive profile of the volcano, San Cristóbal.  Now prepare yourself for a beautiful, and safe landfall leading to Marina Puesta del Sol. The entrance and channel are well marked and can be entered safely, even at night. The deep water channel leading to the marina can accommodate boats with drafts up to eight feet, even at low tide. At medium water, boats drawing up to thirteen feet can enter safely.

As you enter the river and lagoon called El Estero de Aserradores, a beautiful hanging beach on the south side comes into view. To the north, a more extensive white sand beach extends thousands of yards.  Upon passing these landmarks, you need only follow the well-marked channel for 2.5 km. (1.36 nm.) to the docks of Marina Puesta del Sol.

Fuel Facility

Our full service fuel facility provides clean, filtered diesel and gasoline to our easily accessible 110 foot fuel dock. With diesel capacities at 7,000 gallons and gasoline at 2,000 gallons, we can provide fuel to water craft of all sizes.

Docks & Slips

At present, we have twenty 64’ slips, two 60’ slips and six 48’ slips plus several side ties. The floating dock system is constructed using pressure treated Nicaraguan pine, with roto-molded, watertight floats, and heavy duty hardware, creating a strong, sturdy structure. The structure raises and lowers on piles during average tides of 7 – 8 feet in the protected harbor. Each slip is provided with water service, cable TV, and 120V/30 amp and 208V/50 amp single and three-phase power service. The dock structure also features a high efficiency fire protection system and heavy duty cleats for secure tie-ups.
